Custom Domains
Point your domain to Launchmatic and get automatic HTTPS via Let's Encrypt.
Adding a domain
Navigate to your service
Open the service detail page and click the Domains tab.
Enter your domain
Type your domain (e.g. app.example.com) and click Add.
Configure DNS
Add a CNAME record pointing your domain to the target shown in the dashboard. For apex domains, use an A record pointing to the cluster's static IP.
Verify & issue certificate
Click Verify DNS. Once verified, Launchmatic adds the domain to the Kubernetes Ingress and cert-manager issues a Let's Encrypt certificate automatically.
DNS records
| Type | Name | Value |
|---|---|---|
| CNAME | app.example.com | proxy.launchmatic.io |
| A | example.com | (cluster static IP) |
DNS propagation typically takes 1-10 minutes. Certificate issuance completes within seconds after DNS resolves.
Automatic SSL
All custom domains get free TLS certificates from Let's Encrypt via cert-manager. Certificates renew automatically 30 days before expiry. HTTP traffic is redirected to HTTPS.
Wildcard domains
Wildcard certificates (e.g. *.example.com) require DNS-01 challenge validation. Configure Cloud DNS or Route 53 in your Helm values to enable this. See the certManager.dns01 section in values.yaml.
